Inspiring Students in Computing Back...

October 11, 2016

Our ‘Inspiring Students in Computing’ event is back!

Now in its 5th year, our event for local A’Level students is back; this time at a new location in the centre of Leeds.

As part of our Community Education activities, this event once again brings together luminaries in the field of computing to enthuse and inspire local A’Level students, with an aim to encouraging more to take up Computing as a career choice.

This year, we include:

  • Techincal writer and educator, Rob Miles, Twitter @robmiles
  • Executive Director of the .NET Foundation, Martin Woodward, Twitter: @martinwoodward
  • Microsoft Integration MVP Michael Stephenson, Twitter: @michael_stephen
  • Microsoft Tech Evangelist, Amy Nicholson, Twitter: @AmyKateNicho
  • Microsoft Tech Evangelist, Paul Foster, Twitter: @paulfo
  • Microsoft Data Solution Architect, Gary Short, Twitter: @garyshort
  • Microsoft Chief Envisioning Officer, Dave Coplin, Twitter: @dcoplin

If you are a teacher of A’Level Computer Science students, and are interested in bringing them along, please get in touch!

Don’t forget, if you are regular attendee with your students, that we’re now at a new location - Crowne Plaza, Leeds.

“The Crowne Plaza Hotel on Wellington Street in Leeds enjoys an excellent location in the heart of Leeds City Centre. The hotel has secure parking for 120 cars, 3 coaches and is easily reached via the M1, M621 and M62. We are also just a 10 minute walk from Leeds Train and Bus Station.”
