Architecture Forum - North - Part I - Architecture Best Practices

Architect Forum - North

Black Marble and Microsoft invite you to join us for an event featuring the top architecture experts in the UK. This is an unique opportunity to provide IT Managers, IT and software architects from Northern businesses the chance to learn about the latest technologies and best practices from Microsoft in the field of Architecture, including the exciting new announcements about cloud computing that will be unveiled at the Professional Developers Conference in October.

This full day event will provide insightful information about the latest techniques, demonstrating how with Microsoft’s architecture tools and technologies you can address your current business needs. Both the morning and afternoon tracks can be booked and attended separately.

Morning Track – Architecture Best Practices

One of the key focuses is sustainability and green IT – how larger data centres are managed, and what the impact is for architecture and design. In addition, we will address Microsoft Patterns and Practices, looking at the best practice guidelines produced for architecture, including the most up to date revisions.

Session 1 - Sustainable IT – from Datacentre to Cloud with Matt Deacon, Chief Architectural Advisor, Microsoft.

Session 2 - Patterns & Practices - Guidance for the Architect with Simon Thurman, Architect Evangelist, Microsoft.
